The grayish specks that occasionally appear in your line of sight, floaters, are a completely normal part of aging. As the gel-like substance, vitreous humor, inside your eye becomes more liquefied, particles may appear in your visual field. These wisps will come and go. Very rarely, when floaters are associated with a flash of light or any loss of vision, they may indicate a more serious problem.
